Does TF8 Allow “All or Nothing” Trading Strategies?

TF8 encourages traders to use structured strategies with solid risk management, especially in evaluations or funded accounts.

TF8 encourages traders to apply structured, well-managed, and consistent strategies — particularlyThefloor8 (TF8) encourages traders to follow structured, disciplined, and risk-managed strategies, especially when participating in evaluations or trading funded accounts.

While we support a wide variety of trading styles, strategies that involve excessive or uncontrolled risk-taking (“all or nothing” trading) are not aligned with our risk management standards.

What Is Considered “All or Nothing” Trading?

“All or nothing” trading refers to any strategy that places disproportionately high risk on a single trade or idea, often with the intention of achieving large returns without proper risk control.

Examples include (but are not limited to):

  • Using over 80% of available margin on a single position

  • Opening trades that could breach max drawdown in one move

  • Trading without a stop-loss or risk limit, especially with large position sizes

  • Using “double or nothing” or unhedged recovery trades near drawdown levels

  • Holding oversized positions during high-impact news events without risk control

These behaviors indicate a lack of structured risk management and are not permitted under TF8 trading standards.

Important Note

This policy is not automatically enforced by the trading system. Instead, it is reviewed manually by our Risk and Compliance team, particularly before payouts or account approvals.

What Happens If This Policy Is Violated?

If trading behavior is identified as “all or nothing,” consequences may include:

  • Reduction or withholding of profits

  • Loss of eligibility for payouts

  • Account suspension or termination

  • Removal of add-on benefits (e.g., scaling, payout upgrades)

  • Disqualification from promotions or bonus programs

All evaluation and funded accounts are subject to ongoing compliance review.

Case-by-Case Review

TF8 understands that some trading strategies may appear high-risk but are actually part of a structured and controlled system.

In such cases, traders may request a manual review, provided they can demonstrate:

  • Clear risk management rules

  • Defined position sizing logic

  • A consistent and repeatable strategy

  • Justification for the trade structure

Why This Policy Exists

TF8 provides access to real capital, and our priority is long-term sustainability and trader success.

We aim to work with traders who approach the market with discipline, structure, and consistency, rather than relying on isolated high-risk trades.

Final Note

If you are unsure whether a strategy aligns with TF8 rules, we strongly recommend contacting support before executing trades.

Our goal is to support traders who build consistent performance over time, not those dependent on single high-risk outcomes. when operating under funded conditions or participating in any of our evaluations.
